DLA+ Awarded Cheongna SSG Baseball Stadium and Commercial Complex Design
Pittsburgh-based Sports Design Firm, DLA+ Architecture & Interior Design, was selected by South Korean Retail Giant Shinsegae Group (SSG) as the Design Architect for the Cheongna SSG Baseball Stadium, a new home for the SSG Landers in the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO).
The project, located in Incheon, South Korea, just west of Seoul, will be the world's first baseball stadium with an integrated shopping mall and the first privately funded professional sporting venue in South Korea.

The project comprises two major components: a covered/dome baseball stadium with a seating capacity of 21,000 and the renowned Starfield shopping mall. The stadium is planned to operate year-round as a multi-purpose Sports & Entertainment venue hosting various events including sports, concerts, community and private events, etc. The design of the stadium focuses on delivering unparalleled and enhanced fan and guest experiences for all visitors and attendees.
